The Direct Response Darling
The liftnote: 130 words that send readers straight to your sales page.
This email is the DR darling.
Some of the big DR companies actually use EXCLUSIVELY this type of email during their campaigns and they still pull 6-7-8 figures when the fat lady sings (aka when it's over).
So, whenever you feel like you want to generate some extra traffic to your sales page... maybe get a bit of a sales boost...
Use this type of email and you won't be disappointed.
It's called a liftnote (but DR Darling has a nicer ring to it).
And its main use-case is to grab the reader's attention, generate curiosity, tease on something valuable, and hide it all behind the click.
They are short, sweet, sharp, and sto the point
(which means to the point, but I reaaaally wanted something that started with 's').
If you're used to writing emails that go for 300+ words, it could take some time to get accustomed to it. The best DR Darlings don't go for much longer than 130 words.
The reason for that is that you rely a lot on the power of desire and curiosity to make your CTA irresistible.
You don't teach the whole thing. You don't tell a long story. You don't reveal too much.
Then, once they land on your page, they come pre-determined to read on and quench their thirst for knowledge while you quench your thirst for money.
Good job, you are now a capitalist.
Go on, my child.
Use your newfound power and come back stronger (and richer).
