Testimonials
The easiest persuasive email you can write — if you use it right.
This is one of the easiest yet most effective Email Archetypes.
Find one of your existing testimonials, feature it in your email, tie it to your product via the benefit/pain point/theme your testimonial features, and now you have a very persuasive email for the right person.
You can find testimonials from all sorts of sources like:
- Existing clients
- Old clients
- Your product's buyers
- Your own audience (in response to a social media post or an email)
- Your group of friends
- A fake "my mom/dad" testimonial is a pretty popular one if you wanna add some humor btw (though I wouldn't use exactly that, to not sound derivative)
It doesn't have to be a conventional and formal testimonial, and in fact, the ones that come unprompted, out of nowhere often are the best ones.
It can be about something big like a big project you completed or something smaller-scale you did, like an insight you provided or an idea you had or a problem you solved.
Or if you're creative enough, it can be something irrelevant that you then tie in to a benefit or trait to make your sale.
