Hello and Welcome to
Blank Page Banisher!
Where You'll Learn One Of The Most Important Yet Most Ignored Skills ALL Email Writers Need
Everybody gangsta until they get burdened with the task of writing daily emails for 1-2 lists.
(God gives his toughest battles to his strongest marketers 😫)
You might be able to nail an email when you have a clear idea of what you want to write.
But sometimes, this idea miiiight not be so clear.
And that's where the shit starts ever-so-softly hitting the fan.
And this can lead to all sorts of bad stuff, depending on what kind of person you are:
- You might get stuck on the start of an email for 40+ minutes wondering what to write
- You might have a general idea of what you want to say but not know how exactly to go about it in the email — so you might start writing, deleting, and writing again on a loop.
- Or you might power through the uncertainty and come up with a finished product that … well ... let's just say it's not exactly your best email
Well, good news:
This ends today!
Oui oui, my dear reader.
Because today we're going to take the blank page and BANISH it to the shadow realm!
…or if you're not much of a Yu-Gi-Oh person, we'll take a shovel and SMACK the blank page in the face or something like that.
Point is, you're gonna learn how to consistently pump out high quality emails faster than you did before.
My goal is that when you use the Blank Page Banisher, you never spend more than 5 minutes in front of the screen before you start writing your email.
To have you actually moving forward without getting stuck.
And to do that, we're going to use my 3-part method for never getting stuck on the blank page.
This is the same method I've personally used to write emails for clients in all sorts of niches, from SaaS to bootcamps to selling clothes with pure text emails.
And it was especially helpful when I couldn't find anything new to pull from.
No new content from the client. No new products. No new sales or discounts.
Just me, the page, and the power of words.
(Yes, that was cringe, but that's part of the brand around here)
And this is the mental model you need to keep in mind to never get stuck on the Blank Page ever again:
An email is not an idea.
You've realized it by now. To successfully and repeatedly zoom past the blank page in no time you need…
An Idea + An Email Archetype + A way to START that email
Once you have all 3, emails just flow.
Lookin at an example, an idea could be to write about a lady that was screaming in the fish market.
So, as an Email Archetype, you'd choose one of the story-based ones (there are a lot of different ways to tell stories, as we'll see in the next module).
And as a way to start the email, you could start with a 'Who, What When Where'
Eg Yesterday, I was at the store, picking up a kilo of sardines because my dad LOVES having them on the weekend when I heard this crazy lady screaming.
And you take it from there.
Now, if you're paying attention and you've been in the marketing or copywriting world for a while, you might notice that this is the kind of way Daniel Throssell starts a lot of his emails.
Of course this is just one combination.
In the following lessons, I'll show you the 8 main sources of ideas (with its 30 actionable ways to come up with ideas right now)...
The 8 main types of email starters (and the 33 total actionable ways to start any email)...
And the 21 email archetypes that you can use to write any kind of email for any client.
I'm so excited to show this all to you and see how this will help your writing!
Fasten your seatbelt and let's START!
